Job Summary:

Main Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of nutritious and appetizing meals for residents according to dietary requirements and menu specifications.

* Responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and organized dishwashing area.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to support chefs and cooks in the cooking process, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
* Assist in the receipt, storage, and rotation of food supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting shortages.
* Adhere to food safety standards, infection control measures, and other relevant guidelines in an aged care setting.
* Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to create a positive and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Capacity to handle physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting/moving heavy items.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
