Overview
Account Executive role at Marsh McLennan, working with the JLT Public Sector team. This hybrid role is based in Melbourne and requires at least three days per week in the office.
We are seeking a talented individual to join JLT Public Sector, part of Marsh McLennan Companies, to work with Local Government in Victoria and Tasmania. Local Government projects range from managing self-insurance funds (Mutuals) to in-house claims and risk management resources to protect long-term community interests.
Responsibilities
- Provide Account Management support with a proactive approach to all aspects of service delivery to clients, ensuring needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
- Develop growth in the existing portfolio with new products or broader policy and identify new business opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Councils on protection and risk management inquiries.
- Assist other team members to ensure service delivery to clients.
- Participate in project-based teams to deliver new and enhanced services to clients.
- Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers, underwriters and other professional services organisations.
- Ensure all documentation is prepared in accordance with company service and compliance procedures and tools.
- There may be some travel involved in the role, predominantly across Victoria and Tasmania.
What you need to have
- 2+ years’ experience as an insurance broker or account executive; Public Sector and/or Affinity servicing experience is advantageous.
- Diploma in Financial Services (Insurance Broking); QPIB status with NIBA or CIP equivalent status through ANZIIF preferred.
- Strong knowledge and application of insurance broking principles, insurance products and services.
