Risk is a Second Line of Defence (LOD) function, responsible for reviewing and challenging the activities of the Group's businesses (also referred to as "the First LOD") to ensure that they effectively manage as "Risk Owners" the risks inherent in or arising from the conduct of their activities and for which they are responsible. The Second LOD consists of 'Risk Stewards' who are independent of the commercial risk-taking activities undertaken by the First LOD. The Risk function is a Risk Steward for a number of financial and non-financial risks in accordance with HSBC Group's Risk Management framework.
This is a permanent role opportunity to support HSBC Australia's Wealth and Personal Banking Chief Risk Officer. In addition to this core support your responsibilities will also include assisting team heads and the wider Risk team when required.
**Your main responsibilities will include**:
- Co-ordinate, collate and prepare presentations, reports and ad -hoc requirements as directed.
- Provide support on ad - hoc duties to support the Risk Leadership Team
- Maintain, consolidate and update key retail credit risk documentation
- Prepare and coordinate the filing of all routine internal and external reports and documents
- Handle daily calls and inquiries and respond independently to routine issues and questions
- Liaise with IT on issues and raising Service Now IT requests
- Provide support to Executive Assistant for the AUH Chief Risk Officer and provide cover during periods of leave
- Coordination and event planning for team building events and town halls.
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Risk Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimise the likelihood of it occurring
Requirements
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- Previous experience working in a similar environment as an Executive, Personal or team assistant including 1:1 and team support.
- Completion of High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication including in person and by telephone.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work under a tight schedule and pressure
- Strong organising and coordination skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
