Key Responsibilities
- Execute tasks defined as electrical functions within production to ensure delivery in line with the manufacturing plan.
- Carry out tasks both on‐board the naval vessel and within a workshop environment.
- Undertake tasks as described within electrical job cards and complete associated documentation to capture job progress.
- Ensure time‐keeping accuracy by booking to the correct job cards.
- Interpret and utilize electrical technical drawings.
- Comply with required quality and technical directions contained within job card work scopes and process instructions.
- Maintain all equipment and areas used in a safe and organised manner.
- Understand and abide by safety policies and associated documentation such as Take‐5, standard operating procedures and risk assessments, and help create a safe working environment for all.
- Work on tasks as part of a workgroup and also individually.
- Work with apprentices and oversee their skills and development as appropriate.
- Interact with other trade groups and business functions to enable delivery of the programme.
- Undertake training as deemed appropriate for the role.
About You
- Trade certificate III in Electro‐technology Electrician.
- Hold and maintain an Australian electrical licence and any appropriate licensing for the equipment used and tasks performed within the shipyard.
- Demonstrated experience as an electrical tradesperson.
Clearances
As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
