Heavy Equipment Technician Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing complex heavy equipment on customer sites.
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, greasing, and cleaning of equipment
* Diagnose and repair complex mechanical faults across various types of heavy equipment
* Ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake repairs on site
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
Requirements:
* Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
