We value teamwork, drive for results, customer focus, innovation, problem solving within a flexible working environment.Taggle is embarking on a period of significant growth, and you could be part of this success.We are looking for someone who shares the same values that we do to become an integral part of our Taggle team to join our quest to deliver a resilient water supply for a sustainable and healthy planet.PurposeTaggle Systems is committed to accelerating the growth of the business and have identified numerous opportunities for the Company to expand its product / services offering into new market segments, as well as partnering with Telstra to access their technology and considerable market presence.As part of the Sales Team, the Business Development Manager is accountable for meeting sales revenue targets and building strong customer engagement in new and existing markets in Australia.The focus will be on identifying opportunities for new business, qualifying and securing these opportunities and collaborating with internal resources to gain new business for Taggle.Reporting tothe Sales & Marketing Director, your key responsibilities will include:Manage a range of existing and new accounts throughout VIC/SA.Develop and work opportunities from inception to closureSource leads and chase new businessDrive sales to meet and exceed agreed targetsBuild rapport with and managing existing clients – including seeking new business from them, gather feedback and monitor customer satisfactionDrive a range of products and software sales for existing tier 2 & 3 customersProvide efficient responses to RFI and tender submissions as a teamBuild relationships with authorities, and the broader water utilities to provide input to the product road map and to optimise the benefits for Taggle.Provide greater exposure and awareness of Taggle’s product offerings to increase market share.Represent Taggle in relevant forums, conventions, seminars, etc and advocate on behalf of the interests of Taggle.Provide sales and account management activity and reporting using CRM systems.About youThis role calls for a seasoned sales professional: someone with the energy and commercial awareness to recognise and drive opportunities that will take maximum advantage of Taggle’s product and service solutions.It is imperative that you possess a high level of interpersonal, communication and critical thinking attributes necessary to establish rapport and credibility internally as well as in customer organisations, up to CEO level.You will have a strong interest in sustainability and the environment and enjoy working as part of a dedicated team.Ideally, you will have the following knowledge and experience:·Dealing with local government, utilities sector·Utility water sales (well regarded)·Working in a proactive sales team·IoT / SCADA / Wireless Networks·Instrumentation and sensorsYour background experience includes:Over 8 years’ experience in similar Sales roles within a medium size business (software, hardware, services or a combination)Strong B2B sales experience in securing multi-million dollar deals, transitioning from smaller enterprises to large organizations, including local governments, utilities, telecom companies, and multinational corporationsStrong business and commercial acumen coupled with business development and sales experienceLarge, long sales gestation project experienceComfortable in presenting a complex technical proposition, with experience and ability to communicate to customers to promote and drive new technology and business, and to “explain” complex technical aspects to non-technical stakeholders and poorly understood value propositionsTrack record of success in achieving sales targetsYou will haveProven and consistent hunting skills (both initial penetration and cross-selling)Strong presentation skills (oral and written) for communication of complex solutions and business benefits.Ability to rapidly ramp up and understand and articulate the business’ commercial and technological offeringPassionate, driven with high energy levels and action orientation.A high level of personal integrity and work ethicsAdaptability and flexibilityDecision makerStrong negotiation and persuasion skillsThe ability to handle pressure and, at times, ambiguityCredible and articulate, with a good sense of humourA strong and confident professional able to deal with all levels of the organisationStrong commercial sense and the ability to keep multiple transactions on track concurrently over long sales cyclesComfortable with regular domestic travelInterested?
