About The CompanyThis superb WA civil contracting business is privately owned and operated and is embedded as a preferred local contractor in Karratha to Main Roads WA, Development WA, Local Government entities and mining companies in the north-west of the state. This broad client base provides a consistent flow of civil infrastructure projects, and they now require a PROJECT ENGINEER/MANAGER to join their brilliant team.About The RoleThis is a permanent role based residentially in Karratha (*accommodation provided) working Monday - Friday (10 hour days) on local civil projects. In Karratha, there continues to be significant investment in land development and local road construction so you will be primarily be involved in leading these types of earthworks projects. As PROJECT ENGINEER/MANAGER you will provide your technical expertise in the delivery of civil construction projects planning and coordinating the methodology and overseeing project execution to ensure strict adherence to contractual, cost and compliance requirements. On site you will oversee and guide progress of the site delivery team to ensure construction conforms to design, and that the project is delivered on time and on budget. You will help manage subcontractors and the client interface, undertake cost management, and provide regular progress reporting. To be considered, ideally you will have minimum 6-7+ years’ experience as a civil PROJECT ENGINEER/SPE or PM on civil earthworks and roadworks projects for civil contractors in WA. As the successful applicant, you will be paid a generous salary CIRCA $160-170K Base + Super (+ Family housing), and hopefully thrive in the Karratha community where a coastal north west lifestyle offers boating, camping, fishing and much, much more.Qualifications, Skills And Experience RequirementsMinimum Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (*Minimum)Around 6-7+ years post-graduate experience as a PROJECT ENGINEER/SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER or PM for CIVIL CONTRACTORS in Australia/NZProven success delivering civil construction scopes of work such as; land development, road construction, bulk earthworks, general civilsRecent stable work history and experience as PROJECT ENGINEER/SPE or PM on $10m-20m+ earthworks scopes of work for Civil ContractorsSeeking a long-term career with a prominent WA civil contracting business where you can build a career in KarrathaExcellent all-round communication and interpersonal skillsExisting work rights in Australia (*or able to relocate to Karratha imminently, with paid accommodation included)Clean Australian C Class Drivers LicenceAVAILABLE to start within 4 weeks’ notice maximumBenefitsResidential Karratha (*Housing Provided)Impressive Privately Owned Civil BusinessCIRCA $160-170K+ Super, START ASAP!Company CultureEmployees love working within this civil contracting business as they are always involved in interesting infrastructure projects that add to the local Karratha community.
