The role
As a senior actuarial analyst, you will provide support in the following areas.
* Data preparation, validation, and analysis.
* Assessment of the reasonableness and suitability of models and results prepared.
* Documentation of processes, analyses and investigations undertaken.
* Preparation of reports and presentation of results to key internal and external stakeholders.
* Overseeing multiple projects to ensure timely and within-budget completion, keeping analysts and actuaries informed of project status.
* Reviewing work prepared by analysts and provide quality assurance of all aspects of projects before actuaries' review.
* Providing guidance and training to junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Engaging with clients to understand their needs and present findings effectively.
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Experience
* Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computing, Engineering or another relevant field.
* Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with our clients both in person and in writing.
* Possessing exemptions for, or having passed, all Foundation Program (Part I) actuarial qualification units.
* Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel with knowledge of VBA.
* Possessing experience in data warehouse software (e.g., SAS, SQL).
* Possessing experience in general insurance reserving assignments.
* Experience with data analytics tools/software (any of R, Python, Power BI, Tableau).
* Possessing exemptions for, or having passed, all (or the majority) of Actuary Program (Part II) actuarial qualification units.
* Studying towards completing the Fellowship Program (Part III) actuarial qualification units.
