The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is a leading healthcare provider based at Launceston Airport in Western Junction, Tasmania.

About the Role

This casual position is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Exercise Physiologist to join our team in the Southern Region – Glamorgan Spring Bay Municipality. In this role, you will be responsible for improving health outcomes for people living with various health conditions through supporting healthy behaviors, promoting mental wellness, and increasing health literacy.


Key Responsibilities:

* Supporting health behaviors and promoting mental wellness
* Increasing health literacy to improve quality of life

You will report to the Team Leader, Physical Health, and be part of a greater team in Tasmania, including other specialist staff across various RFDS programs.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a person who strives to deliver exceptional service and care in line with organisational and physical health objectives. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to operate effectively in a remote team environment.

Essential Requirements

* Qualification in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy
* Demonstrated skills in exercise prescription practice, including assessment and provision of appropriate exercise programs
* A thorough knowledge of health services and issues pertaining to people living in rural and remote areas
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Compliance

* Current Tasmanian Driver's Licence
* Working with Vulnerable People Card
* Current National Police Check
* Visa to work in Australia
* Current First Aid & CPR certificate
* Current Vaccinations
* Ability to travel to various locations
