About the Company
Join the Federal Government as an APS6 Clinician providing counselling services to current and former defence force personnel and their families. You will join the team based in Maroochydore on an initial 12-month contract with the possibility for extension.
About the Role
As a Clinician, your responsibilities include:
* Providing clinical services including risk assessment, counselling and case management.
* Monitoring client progress and adjusting or extending care as needed.
* Maintain accurate, confidential records in the client management system.
* Engaging in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision.
* Work within legislation, ethics and organisational policies.
* Collaborating with clinical leaders and team members on case reviews and care planning.
* Coordinating care with families and external providers.
* Support group programs, community engagement and service promotion.
* Contributing to evaluation, research and quality improvement.
* Assisting with intake, allocation and quality assurance across regional services.
Qualifications
* Qualifications as a registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Clinical Counsellor.
* Australian citizenship.
Required Skills
* Trauma‑informed, client‑centred assessment and intervention skills.
* Strong clinical intake and risk‑assessment capability.
* Current knowledge of DVA and Open Arms policies and procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Sound judgement and calm incident response.
