Ujin Matcha House – Canberra
Ujin Matcha House is a new, carefully considered matcha space focused on quality, calm, and intention. Inspired by Japanese tea culture, we exist to slow things down and do things properly — from the matcha we serve to the way we treat our customers and our team.
We are much more busy than we anticipated - particularly for this typically quieter period for hospitality in Canberra - but we need more staff to assist our existing amazing team
We are currently looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and service-minded team member to join us as we grow.
About the role
You will be part of a small, close-knit team responsible for:
* Preparing matcha drinks and desserts with consistency and care
* Delivering warm, genuine customer service
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and calm work environment
* Working efficiently during both quiet and busy periods
* Upholding the values and standards of Ujin Matcha House
Previous café or barista experience is recommended, due to the similar nature of high volume orders, dockets and drinks preparation. We value attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn over speed or ego. Full training will be provided.

* Has good availability and is punctual and dependable
* Can work independently but also contributes positively to a team
* Has an interest in food, drink, or Japanese culture (a bonus, not a requirement)
