An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic New Product Developer for Primary Processing, to join our Geelong site and will be reporting to the National NPD Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
· Works closely with the National New Product Development Manager and cross functional teams to develop products that meet the product brief.
· Work as part of a team.
· Hands-on Product development, from ideation and research to prototyping, evaluating, production trials, and market launch.
· Assist with transferring product from lab to full scale commercial production.
· Analyse market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for new product development.
· Lead projects, ensuring all key milestones are met and potential issues are identified and resolved early.
· Oversee the quality control process, ensuring all products meet the required standards.
· Provide regular updates to management on project status, including progress, risks, and opportunities.
· Identifying and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
Qualifications/Knowledge:
· Tertiary qualifications in Science, preferably in Food Technology, Applied Science, Food Engineering or equivalent.
· Detailed knowledge of Food Standard Code and Food Safety Legislation.
· Knowledge of product formulation, food science and manufacturing practices.
· Attributes: Attention to detail, proactive communication, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Experience:
· Experience in Food NPD and manufacturing is essential.
· Experience in Primary Processing of poultry.
· Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and project management skill.
· Demonstrated report writing skills.
