**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Urban Planner to join our Planning team.
Job Description:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of urban planning projects, providing advice and guidance to clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to multidisciplinary projects, working collaboratively with economists, heritage planners, urban designers, social planners and transport planners
* Provide expert advice on land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process and management.
* Develop strong relationships with clients by building trust, providing quality advice and managing expectations.
* Write submissions, proposals and advice that accurately reflects the client's needs.
* Manage small to medium size projects, including scoping and costing of projects, tracking job costs and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants as needed.
* Identify and raise issues which may impact fee estimates or timelines.
* Coach and develop team members.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance and support the Planning team's Business Plan.
About You:
* Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Urban Planning, ideally some experience in managing planning projects.
* Strong knowledge of statutory and strategic planning, and related legislation, gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment.
* Keen understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
* Excellent prioritisation skills, able to manage competing demands of multiple projects within agreed budgets and timeframes.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous professional development.
* Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and can engage with a variety of stakeholders.
