Technical Business Analyst - Solution Design Location: Sydney Type: Permanent Start date: ASAP (urgent) Working rights: must be an Australian permanent resident or Australian Citizen About the Client Our client is a forward-thinking technology company focused on delivering scalable, high-performance platforms for large enterprise customers. They are undertaking an ambitious re-platforming project, moving from a low-code solution to a more robust system that can support complex workflows and high-volume operations. Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers and product teams to design and implement a repeatable migration path from legacy systems to the new platform. Translate existing workflows and business requirements into technical specifications for the development team. Produce detailed documentation of inventory, tooling, and commonalities across workflows to support migration. Participate in solution design discussions, providing technical insight and ensuring designs are implementable. Map legacy systems to modern platforms, including APIs and integrations, to support smooth transitions. Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure the platform meets both business and technical requirements. Required Experience Strong technical background, ideally with a computer science or related degree. Hands-on experience in software engineering or development, with familiarity in Python, Java, Node.js, or similar languages. Experience with platform or product migrations, including mapping legacy systems to modern architectures. Comfortable working closely with engineering teams, including reviewing and understanding code when necessary. Proven ability to translate complex business or customer requirements into technical specifications. Prior experience in regulated environments (banking, government, energy) is desirable but not mandatory. Avoidance of purely process-focused BA roles - this is a highly technical, solution-oriented position. Why Apply?
