Join Stockland's Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis supporting our Masterplanned Communities team. This role has been created to manage a significant uplift in settlements across our MPC and Augusta portfolios. You will provide critical support during this period to meet capital partner deliverables.
This is a high visibility role with direct impact on financial accuracy, trust management and reputational risk. You will work closely with internal finance teams, business partners and external suppliers to ensure transactional processes are accurate, compliant and completed on time. The role has no direct reports and suits an experienced finance professional who thrives in a hands on role with broad influence.
What You Will Do
• Deliver accurate and timely residential transactional services across accounts receivable, accounts payable, trust accounting and banking activities
• Ensure all cash movements are correctly reflected across the business and support GL translations, sub ledger close activities and routine journal processes
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, sales commissions processing and statutory support activities as required
• Prepare information for regulatory and compliance submissions, partnering with Specialist Services for areas such as tax
• Manage trust account obligations and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across R2R processing, driving efficiency and consistency of outcomes
• Collaborate closely with Transactional Services colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to team success
About You
You are a detail focused finance professional with strong experience across transactional accounting and financial controls. You bring a proactive mindset, high accountability and a calm approach under pressure. You are comfortable operating in a role with wide business exposure and appreciate the importance of accuracy, compliance and timely processing in a complex and high volume environment.
You enjoy working collaboratively across teams and can quickly build trust with stakeholders who rely on your expertise. You are comfortable taking ownership of tasks from start to finish and can manage periods of increased volume with confidence.
Experience and Skills That Count
• Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting, with CA or CPA accreditation required
• Strong experience in finance or accounting roles with exposure to transactional processing, reconciliations and financial accuracy requirements
• Ability to interpret data, identify issues, and draw meaningful conclusions
• Skilled in general accounting, compliance, process excellence and ownership of deliverables
• Familiarity with financial systems, internal controls and risk management frameworks
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders across the business
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
