We support farmers, contractors, and workshops with fast turnaround, strong product knowledge, and high-quality customer service.
Position Overview
The Parts Interpreter will play a key role in supporting our customers by identifying, sourcing, and supplying agricultural machinery parts. This is a casual role, with the strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. Flexible hours and requirement for a 1 in 4 Saturday shift (3hrs).
Key Responsibilities
* Assist customers via phone, email, and in-store with parts enquiries.
* Identify correct parts using catalogues, diagrams, supplier databases, and workshop knowledge.
* Interpret part numbers across multiple brands including John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, MacDon, Honey Bee, Claas, and more.
* Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain product knowledge of combine harvester components and aftermarket alternatives.
* Support warehouse operations including picking, packing, receiving stock, and inventory control.
* Manage customer relationships with a friendly, professional approach.
* Keep workspace organised and maintain parts displays.
* Support seasonal demand and internal project work.
Skills & Experience
Preferred but not essential:
* Experience in agricultural parts, machinery parts, or mechanical trade.
* Ability to read parts diagrams and identify cross‑references.
Essential:
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy with part numbers.
* Ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
* Driver's Licence.
* Basic computer skills (email, invoicing systems, spreadsheets).
Minimum availability of 25-32 hours per week for this casual position.
Australian work authorisation is required to commence this role.
A provisional licence or higher is required for this position.
