Brand Asiais a fast-growing media and marketing agency in Melbourne. We connect brands with Chinese audiences globally by creating content that actually resonates on platforms like Xiaohongshu and WeChat. We are looking for a full-time Creative Designer who is comfortable handling everything from the initial "viral" idea to the final edit.
In this role, you won't just be sitting behind a desk waiting for instructions. We need a creator who stays ahead of Chinese social media trends and knows how to turn a trend into a high‐performing post. You will be responsible for coming up with content hooks, heading out to film on‐site, and handling the post‐production for both video and static assets.
What you will be doing
* Brainstorming creative content ideas and "hooks" that have viral potential.
* Filming high‐quality video content on‐site using cameras or mobile devices.
* Editing short‐form videos using CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent tools.
* Designing clean, modern static graphics and layouts for WeChat, Xiaohongshu and other digital media.
* Managing content from the initial concept through to the final polished product.
* Staying updated on the latest trends, sounds, and aesthetics within the Chinese digital space.
What we are looking for
* Native or bilingual Mandarin (written and spoken) and proficient English.
* Strong hands‐on skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator).
* Proven experience in video filming and editing for social media.
* A deep understanding of Chinese social media user behaviour and platform‐specific styles.
* A "can‐do" attitude—someone who can take an idea and physically make it happen.
* Existing full working rights in Australia.
* Work in a flexible, fast‐moving agency environment.
* Handle creative projects for high‐profile clients across various industries.
* Real opportunity to grow your career in a high‐demand, niche market.
How to apply
* Please send your resume and a portfolio of your work (specifically Xiaohongshu/WeChat content or video reels) to sherry.xu@brandasia.com.au and aubrey.huang@brandasia.com.au.
* Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
