Gain Expertise in a 36-Week Mechanical Engineering Placement
This is an exceptional opportunity for mechanical engineering students to gain hands-on experience working alongside qualified engineers on a coal-fired power plant.
The placement will run from the end of semester two this year until the start of semester two 2026. You'll have the chance to develop your skills as a student while earning an income.
Key Activities:
* Get hands-on experience from qualified engineers and technicians on a working coal-fired power plant.
* Develop your knowledge of plant and equipment through hands-on learning.
* Gain exposure to mechanical and performance engineering.
* See firsthand what an engineer would do after graduation.
About You:
* 2nd or 3rd-year university student currently studying mechanical engineering.
* Based near the power station or willing to relocate for the duration of the placement.
* Interest in how a coal-fired power station operates and a desire to develop your knowledge.
