About the Role
Teys Australiahas an exciting opportunity for a highly experiencedLivestockBuyerto join theLivestockteam based at Beenleigh,south side of Brisbane, Queensland.
This role will be responsiblefor the purchasing of appropriate livestock for processing and feeding, and will play a crucial role in oursupply chain operations.
You will be a part of a collaborative and experiencedLivestock team who is passionate and dedicated to sourcing the highest qualitycattle across our sites.
Roleresponsibilities:
Purchasenecessary livestock to suit Teys branded programs for our feedlots - via both over-the-hook and sale yard methods
Liaise withthe Livestock Manager and General Manager Livestock regarding appropriatesourcing of cattle, including trend activity and forecasting of supplyavailability.
Establishand maintain productive relationships with producers, agents, and the generalcommunity in the designated region.
Prepareand maintain appropriate and accurate records.
About You
It isessentialthat you have the followingexperience/skills:
Experiencein cattle buying for export beef processing
Currentdriver's license
Knowledgeof and a solid reputation within the cattle producer community
