Salary: $80,000 per year plus Super @12% per year, paid annual leave and other benefits as per National Employment Standards of Australia.

Our state-of-the-art machinery enables us to reduce manufacture time and increase production through our factory door without compromising quality, guaranteeing our customers a luxurious and flawless addition to their home or business. We service in both domestic and commercial fields covering areas from Melbourne Metro and Mornington Peninsula through to Gippsland and surrounds.

We are seeking a skilled, experienced and reliable Tiler (Occupation: Wall and Floor Tiler, ANZSCO Code: for full-time 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours 6 am to 6pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tiles on walls and floors in residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities will be

· To lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes.
· To measure, plan, and prepare surfaces for tiling.
· To install wall and floor tiles according to specifications and design layouts.
· To follow workplace health and safety regulations and to ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
· To maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work area.

Main Duties (Tasks) will be
· Reading and Interpreting plans and drawings to understand layout, patterns, and measurements
· Measuring and marking surfaces to ensure tiles are level, aligned, and evenly spaced
· Preparing surfaces by cleaning, leveling, waterproofing, or applying screed/backing boards
· Cutting tiles (ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic, etc.) using hand tools or power cutters
· Mixing and applying adhesives and grout correctly
· Laying tiles on walls, floors, steps, and other surfaces with precision
· Spacing tiles properly and fitting trims, edges, and expansion joints
· Grouting, sealing, and finishing tiled surfaces
· Repairing or replacing damaged tiles when required
· Ensuring work meets safety standards and building codes
· Keeping tools, materials, and work areas clean and safe
· Communicating with clients and management to coordinate work
Skills Required:
· Preparing surfaces – cleaning, leveling, waterproofing, and making sure walls or floors are ready for tiling
· Measuring and planning layouts – marking guidelines, calculating tile quantities, and planning patterns so everything lines up cleanly
· Cutting tiles – using tile cutters or wet saws to fit around edges, corners, drains, and fixtures
· Laying tiles – applying adhesive, setting tiles evenly, and keeping spacing consistent
· Grouting – filling joints between tiles and cleaning excess grout
· Sealing – applying sealant where needed (especially in wet areas like bathrooms)
· Finishing details – fitting trims, edging, and checking alignment and levels
· Repair and replacement – fixing cracked tiles, regrouting, or replacing damaged sections
· Following safety standards – using tools safely and complying with building codes
· Ability to work with ceramic, porcelain, marble and stone tiles
· Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
· Physical fitness and ability to work in construction environments
· Time management, ability to meet deadlines, work independently and communication skills.
Education and Qualifications required:
· National Vocational Trade Certificate in Wall and Floor Tiling equivalent to AQF (Australian Qualification Framework) Certificate III or Equivalent Overseas Trade Qualification National Level Certificate or Diploma.
· Relevant Full-time work experience of 1+ years as Tiler.
· Knowledge of workplace safety standards desirable and willing to undergo training as and when required.
· Fluency in English Language must be able to communicate fluently in English language
· Must be reliable, punctual with strong work ethics, patience and precision.
The above position of Tiler is full time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours 6 am to 6 pm and salary offered is $80,000 per year plus Super @12% and paid annual leave and other benefits as per National Employment Standards of Australia.
