About the role The National Head of Sales is pivotal in developing and executing our strategic plan to achieve not just sales targets, but to expand our customer base beyond glass wool. We are so much more than that at Fletcher Insulation.
Reporting to the General Manager and being an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, the National Head of Sales is more than a skilled salesperson; they will have a strong commercial and financial acumen, industry knowledge, and proven leadership skills to drive a high-performing team of 6 direct reports geographically dispersed across Australia.
What a day looks like at Fletcher Insulation Be a change agent and lead change management initiatives to improve sales processes. Develop and implement solution-based sales strategies whilst owning and driving the annual sales targets. Oversee and manage sales projects effectively. Utilise and leverage financial insights, market data, emerging industry trends and KPIs to drive performance. Lead a national sales team of approximately 35 people, including 6 direct reports. Work effectively with digital, HR, marketing, logistics, finance, and operations teams. Drive customer activation programs. Skills and capabilities for success Strong understanding of commercial and financial principles, coupled with building products industry experience. High-level account management skills, interacting with senior customer bases and key buying groups. Deep understanding of sales trends and growth levers. Proven leadership skills with experience managing a national sales team. Expertise in change management and the ability to bring the team on the journey. Strong strategic business management and thinking skills. Experience interacting with different sales channels. Ability to manage digital platforms and CRMs. High energy and capacity to drive results. Ability to develop and execute customer activation programs.
