Job Title: Developmental Assistant 1
Job Summary:
The primary function of this role is to provide supervision and support to direct care staff in the care, treatment, and habilitation of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Supervise Direct Support Assistants in the care, treatment, and habilitation of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
* Maintain accurate records of staff assignments, time and attendance, performance evaluations, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines and instructions.
* Develop and implement individual habilitation plans; participate in the development of such plans and supervise the implementation of portions thereof.
* Manage household inventories, supplies, equipment, and maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
* Assist individuals with managing personal funds and related records.
* Provide or arrange for transportation to and from various activities.
* Respond to crisis situations and medical emergencies following established procedures.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A strong understanding of individualized support planning and ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential. Proficiency in record-keeping and organizational skills are also required.
