They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager to join the team and manage the engagement of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) suppliers for our renewable energy projects.
Position Overview: As a Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in our organization's procurement and supply chain management process. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the engagement of EPC suppliers for our wind and solar projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of equipment, materials, and services required for the successful execution of our renewable energy projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive efficiency, optimize costs, and support the achievement of our renewable energy goals.
**Responsibilities**:
- EPC Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain a robust network of EPC suppliers specialized in renewable energy projects.
- Identify and evaluate potential EPC suppliers based on their capabilities, track record, financial stability, and adherence to sustainability standards.
- Negotiate and establish contractual agreements with EPC suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality assurance, and adherence to project timelines.
- Monitor the performance of EPC suppliers, conducting periodic evaluations and taking appropriate actions to address any performance issues.
- Procurement Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with project development teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Establish procurement plans, including sourcing strategies, bid evaluations, and contract award recommendations.
- Contract Management and Negotiation:
- Lead the negotiation and execution of procurement contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Mitigate contractual risks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with legal and finance departments to review and finalize contract documents.
- Monitor contract performance and manage variations or amendments as necessary.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, promoting collaboration and driving continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular meetings and performance reviews with suppliers to address issues, provide feedback, and enhance overall supplier performance.
- Identify opportunities for supplier innovation and sustainability initiatives.
- Support supplier diversity and inclusion efforts in procurement activities.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve procurement processes, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency enhancement.
- Implement best practices and procurement tools to streamline workflows, increase transparency, and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain procurement metrics and reports to track performance and support decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of EPC contracts, engineering specifications, and project management concepts.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, particularly wind and solar.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Fluency in English. Additional language skills are desirable.
