Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high‐quality care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, stretching from Ingham in the North to Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island in the East. We currently operate 5 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.
About the position
MMCNQ is seeking an experienced and strategic Regulation and Compliance Advisor to play a pivotal role in strengthening our child‐safe culture and driving excellence in regulatory compliance across our Early Childhood Education and Care Services. This is a permanent, full‐time position (37.5 hours per week) within MMCNQ's growing Compliance Team.
Working closely with the Regulation and Compliance Manager, Regulation and Compliance Partner and other specialist teams, the role supports the delivery of quality education and care and compliance with all legislative requirements of an Approved Provider.
Key Responsibilities
* Support compliance frameworks to ensure alignment with legislative and industry standards (e.g. NQF, Family Assistance Law, Child Protection, Education and Care Services Act).
* Assist in monitoring legislative updates and maintaining current policies, procedures and practices.
* Provide guidance to Service Leaders on assessment and rating, risk management, safeguarding, reporting and quality monitoring.
* Contribute to audits and ongoing monitoring of compliance obligations.
* Identify risks and improvement opportunities to strengthen prevention, early intervention and continuous improvement.
* Support implementation of systems to ensure adherence to policies, regulations and safeguarding requirements.
* Collaborate on training frameworks and deliver compliance‐related inductions.
* Meet obligations across WHS, child protection, privacy and anti‐discrimination legislation.
* Undertake research to support compliance learning and development.
About You
* Diploma (or equivalent) in Early Childhood Education and Care; minimum 3 years' leadership experience.
* Strong knowledge of the ECEC regulatory environment, including NQF, National Regulations and ACECQA standards.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‐solving skills.
* Experience delivering training and improving quality outcomes.
* Skilled in developing compliance systems and frameworks.
* Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
* Current driver's licence.
