We currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our South Metro Community Aged Care team at Bethanie. You will be required to travel to Rockingham, Mandurah ,Peel, Erskine, and surrounding areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of customer centred therapy and lifestyle programs for community services (centre based and home care). This role will also provide mentoring and supervision to relevant staff and broader community team as required.
This role is offered on a permanent part-time basis 0.6 FTE. Shifts will be between 8am - 4pm, working days to be discussed with preferred applicant (no weekends required).
About You
* Current full, unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
* Relevant experience in aged care or associated community care services, supporting dementia care patients.
* Be relatable and able to share knowledge in a way that supports change at all levels
* High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills
* Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
* Able to manage a complex workload and adapt to fast changing priorities and environments
* Is client focussed and works effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
* Demonstrates effective communication, strong verbal and written skills, and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
* Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
* Current National Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one)
About the Role:
* Complete OT referrals
* Plan, implement and direct individual or group interventions or care management needs relating to the individual needs of referred clients
* Provide education on use of aids and equipment to facilitate safety and functional health, wellness and reablement
* Direct and coordinate Therapy Assistants and supports other team members to implement therapy-based programs and interventions
* Document all care provided in a relevant and timely manner reflecting the client goal directed care plan
* Attend multidisciplinary team meeting when able.
* Actively manages caseload according to clinical priorities and business needs
* Move between Bethanie sites to meet service needs, as directed.
