Hospital Claims Assessor
Surry Hills | Permanent | Hybrid working | $94,742 (incl. super)
Responsibilities
* Accurately assess and process public and private hospital claims within required timeframes
* Ensure compliance with fund policies, contracts, and legislative requirements
* Review hospital contracts and billing to determine benefit payments
* Meet productivity, QA standards, and KPI targets
* Liaise with internal teams, healthcare providers, and external stakeholders
* Handle inbound calls and enquiries from providers and members
* Contribute positively to team performance and continuous improvement
Qualifications
* Experience in hospital claims, medical claims processing, or healthcare billing (highly regarded)
* Understanding of hospital systems, billing practices, or the health industry
* Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret policies and contracts
* Experience working towards KPIs and quality standards
* Ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently without compromising accuracy
* Confident communicator who can liaise with a range of stakeholders
* Resilient, proactive, and brings a positive, can‐do attitude
