We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Travelex ANZ team based at our Sydney Support Office.
The role reports to the ANZ Financial Controller.
The Role:
* Provide financial support to all areas of the ANZ business, focusing on commercial rigor and stakeholder engagement. This includes detailed analysis and business review for senior leadership teams and their support teams, delivering timely, clear, and accurate financial information.
* Prepare monthly profit and loss reports, balance sheet reports, and statutory accounts, as well as internal and external audits.
* Work closely with offshore General Ledger and Reconciliation teams to ensure compliance with monthly/quarterly reporting deadlines and adherence to Travelex Group Financial Policies.
* Engage proactively with business partners throughout forecasting and budgeting cycles, with regular business reviews to monitor variances.
* Perform other ad-hoc analyses when required.
About You:
* You hold an appropriate university degree from a recognized institution.
* Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Finance-related functions, Commercial Finance, Management Accounting, Data or Business Analytics.
* You have a strong understanding of P&L reporting, financial modeling, including budgets and forecasting, and business performance analysis.
* You can interpret key business drivers and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Data Analytics & Reporting
* Exceptional MS Excel skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights.
* A high degree of problem-solving and process excellence, with the ability to simplify complex data.
* Nice to have: Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis, as well as BI tools like Quicksight to enhance reporting and visualization.
Technical & System Knowledge
* Experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc).
Business Partnering
* Your ability to translate complex data into clear, powerful narratives that drive business insights and engage stakeholders.
* Solid interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions.
* Your capacity to connect insights across different business segments to provide a holistic view of performance.

* A curious and self-starting attitude, with the ability to think fast and proactively identify opportunities.

* Strong attention to detail, having worked in industry or commerce for 2-5 years.
* Relationship-building skills, being able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with finance and non-finance professionals.
