Job Overview
The role of a Caseworker is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within a multi-disciplinary service framework.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in frontline statutory child protection services or within statutory investigation services, and a strong connection to community, particularly Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people
* Engaging in collaborative, child-focused practice that acknowledges and respects the culture and context of each child, young person, and their carers/family
* Collecting timely, accurate, and comprehensive information and making informed decisions in line with the child/young person's safety, welfare, and wellbeing
Requirements:
* Confident and curious individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to build positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders
* Valid driver's license (P1 or above)
* Paid working with children clearance number
