Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Rigger / Trade Assistant / Crane Operator to join our busy Naval Base workshop team ASAP for a 3 month or longer duration.
This is a hands-on role supporting trades and contributing to high-quality fabrication outcomes for multiple projects.
About the Role
Working in a fast-paced workshop environment, you will play a key role assisting skilled trades while ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist Boilermakers and Welders with day-to-day tasks
* Perform rigging duties as required
* Operate cranes where required (if ticketed)
* General trade assistant duties and manual labour
* Maintain a clean and safe workshop and yard
* Adhere to all safety procedures and company standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Ability to operate 20T Franna Crane/Over Head Cranes in the Workshop
* White Card (essential)
* HR Licence
* Forklift Licence (Essential) 3T + 5 T Forklifts
* Intermediate Rigging Ticket (essential)
* Previous experience in a workshop or fabrication environment
* Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
* Ability to work in a physically demanding role
