BASSIKE is seeking a detail-driven and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of a purpose-led Australian brand, while developing your accounting career in a collaborative and values-driven workplace. You will gain hands‐on experience across key accounting functions, working closely with a supportive team and playing an integral role in maintaining financial integrity and operational efficiency. This full‐time role will be based at our Warriewood head office.
Key Responsibilities
* Support month‐end and year‐end close processes
* Prepare and post accurate journal entries
* Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
* Assist with quarterly BAS preparation and compliance
* Support accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes
* Maintain accurate financial records to support audit and reporting requirements
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects
About You
* 1–3 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role
* Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (or currently studying)
* Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
* High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
* Well‐organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Clear and professional communication skills
* A proactive team player with a mindset for continuous improvement
* Exposure to ERP systems
* Interest in financial analysis and reporting
* A willingness to take initiative and grow within the business
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
