Employment Type: Full Time - Fixed Term Contract (5 years) - This position holds a substantive Permanent Teaching position. Salary Range: Commensurate with experience AP1 $149,763 - AP3 $157,119 gross per annum FTE +12.75% Super. Closing Date for Applications: 6.00pm, Sunday 14 September 2025.

About The Role
The college is currently accepting applications for an experienced Assistant Principal - Administration. The following six domains outline the role of the Assistant Principal - Administration as it is envisaged in Catholic schools in the Diocese of Cairns. Following each domain is the Statement of Performance Competency followed by Performance Indicators.

* EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP — To support learning and teaching as the Assistant Principal – Administration
* STAFF LEADERSHIP — To develop self and others as the Assistant Principal – Administration
* ORGANISATIONAL LEADERSHIP — To support the Principal in the management of the school the Assistant Principal – Administration
* COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP — To engage and work with the community as the Assistant Principal – Administration
* STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP — To lead improvement, innovation and change as determined by the Principal the Assistant Principal – Administration

Mandatory Qualifications And Requirements
* Participation in and commitment to the sacramental life of the Church.
* Understanding and commitment to education in the Catholic tradition.
* Professional qualifications in Education and Religion as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland.
* Leadership experience:
o Demonstrated ability in religious and education leadership.
o Demonstrated administrative ability.
o Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships.
* Demonstrated ability in curriculum development including knowledge of contemporary educational issues at state and national levels with particular reference to Religious Education.
* Written and verbal communication skills of a high order.
* Demonstrated commitment to the Pastoral Care of members of the school community.
* Skills for building community including facilitation, delegation and consultation.
* Professional qualifications in Education, Bachelor of Education (Master of Education preferred).
* Minimum of 5 years classroom experience.
* A post graduate qualification in Education.
* Involvement in professional associations.
* Capacity for leadership within a school.
* Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers.
* Current drivers licence.
* A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Catholic Education.
