Automation Technician Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our Service team in Perth. As an Automation Technician, you will have a background in working on industrial control systems and be able to produce safe, reliable and maintainable PLC and SCADA systems to meet client's requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Provide field service and breakdown support for a range of customers over varying industries.
* Preventative, corrective and recommended maintenance and documentation.
* Be of assistance with commissioning of projects.
* Provide electrical installation works.
* Complete on the job reporting, timekeeping and invoicing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
* Must have industrial electrical experience.
* Must have experience with fault finding PLC/SCADA/HMI Systems.
* PLC programming (ideally in Rockwell, Siemens and Schneider) and HMI/SCADA Programming (ideally in Citect, FactoryTalk or WinCC).
* Electrical installation and commissioning experience.
* Commitment to customer satisfaction.
* Ability and desire to participate in a rotating after hours on-call roster.
* Instrumentation, Hazardous Area, Working at Heights and Confined Space training desirable.
* Australian drivers licence and Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
* Must have the right to work in Australia.
