Role and responsibilities
Are you passionate about providing compassionate, hands-on care in a dynamic healthcare setting? We are seeking dedicated Undergraduate Student Nurses to join our team as Assistants in Nursing (AINs). This position supports our nursing team in delivering patient care in an acute care setting. Under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Midwives, you will provide direct care to patients in accordance with individual nursing care plans. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care interventions within your scope of practice, contributing to the collection of accurate health information, and ensuring documentation is maintained to a high standard. You will also communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team, adhering to appropriate protocols and professional standards.

Responsibilities
* Provide direct patient care under supervision in an acute care setting
* Assist with nursing care interventions within scope of practice
* Contribute to accurate health information collection and documentation
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
* Adhere to professional standards and established protocols
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled at university as a 2nd year undergraduate student nurse (1st semester)
* Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
* Demonstrated evidence of a person-centered approach to patient care
* Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
* Previous experience in an acute care setting
* Ability to work a flexible roster
* Demonstrated evidence of complying with Immunisation Category A
