What you will do
* Plan, implement and evaluate individual client occupational therapy programs that support engagement, regulation and independence
* Work collaboratively with clients, families, administration staff, and other allied health services (psychology, counselling, speech and play therapy, etc.)
* Assist parents/families to develop understanding and knowledge of the NDIS to support their ability to make informed decisions where possible
* Assess home and school environments
* Undertake ongoing professional development, education and training relating to clinical practice, including neurodiverse practices
* Collaborate and work closely with staff and psychologists on shared cases to support common goals
* Provide Psychoeducation on Interoception, Connection, sensory preferences, regulation and occupational wellbeing
* Conduct functional, developmental and sensory assessments
* Develop and write Functional Capacity Assessment reports for NDIS and other funding bodies as required
* Provide reports and evidence to support plan reviews, funding renewals, GP letters and school funding
* Collaborate with schools to improve engagement, provide teachers with strategies to improve classroom engagement and reduce stress, specifically for neurodivergent students
* Ensure all practice meets professional, organisational, legal and ethical requirements
* Participate in regular team meetings, supervision and ongoing training
* Assess to MYP, goal-setting tools, interoception curriculum, etc
With a strong NDIS focus, you will have the opportunity to tailor the role towards an assessment or therapy-based mixed caseload, including Adult and/or Paediatric clients.
Y_our role will include:_
* Functional / Activities of Daily Living Assessments and Support Needs recommendations
* Assistive Technology Assessments for people with simple and complex needs, and the opportunity to expand your skills/expertise.
* Fine Motor and Gross Motor therapy
* Housing needs Assessments, including SIL/SDA or ILO accommodation options.
* 1:1 Therapy - evidence-based and goal-oriented interventions.
* 24-Hour seating and positioning assessment and implementation of recommendations
* Adult Therapy (including group or 1:1 sessions)
* Manual Handling Assessments and Training
* Developmental Milestone Assessments for early intervention (0-5) and/or school-aged children (if you desire a paediatric caseload)
* Sensory Assessments and Interventions
* Emotional Regulation and Behavioural strategies working with Parents / Carers / Teachers (in-clinic, homes and schools).

Essential Criteria
* Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
* Must provide a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check
* Current driver's license and own vehicle are essential.
* Current Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
* NDIS Workers Screening
* NDIS Workers Orientation Module
* Degree majoring in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent/relevant qualification
