Job Title: Control Systems Design Engineer
This is a challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills. As a Control Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for various clients and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop 3D models in S3D and extract instrument, RIO cabinet, and junction box location plan drawings in Smart Sketch.
* Create instrument wiring drawings and loop drawings using SPI Wiring and Loop Generation Modules.
* Design cable block diagrams, cable schedules, cable routing, and tray route layouts, as well as JB termination drawings and control network patch panels.
* Develop fire and gas system layout drawings and instrument hookup drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD, with generation of hookup sketches using SPI.
* Prepare tray/trench layouts and cable routing indexes, as well as MCT layouts.
* Perform clash checks in 3D models and synchronize with other disciplines to develop a clash-free system design.
* Support I&C commodities in modularized design and prepare control room and electrical substation layout drawings.
* Generate material take-offs and develop material requisitions for instrumentation cables, conduits, and instrumentation bulks.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in electronics and telecommunications or instrumentation and control systems from an accredited college or university.
* Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in the field of control systems engineering.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Highly proficient in S3D, SPI, SPR, Navisworks, PDS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.
* Thorough knowledge of P&IDs, cable schedules, IO lists, and network architecture.
* Familiarity with fire and gas layouts and NFPA 72 interpretations.
* Experience with remote I/O design for major DCS vendors.
* Knowledge of engineering and construction materials related to designs.
* FEED and EPC execution experience on large projects.
