Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinician

Join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and play a vital role in supporting children, young people and their families experiencing mental health challenges. Employment type: Full Time, Part Time or casual opportunities (as listed below)
Position classification: Social Worker, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Counsellor (with PACFA membership)
Remuneration: $74,317.94 - $117,755 per annum, pro rata (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)
Hours per week: Up to 38

What you’ll be doing:

You will provide comprehensive, recovery oriented mental health assessment, therapeutic intervention and case management to children, young people and their families. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will support positive mental health, safety and wellbeing outcomes across community and clinical settings.


You will:

* Providing comprehensive mental health assessment, therapeutic intervention and case management for children, young people and their families.

* Delivering evidence‑based, recovery‑oriented care in line with best practice, policy and legislative requirements.

* Working collaboratively with families, carers, schools, health professionals and community partners to support coordinated care.

* Undertaking risk assessments, care planning and crisis intervention as required.

* Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, data collection and reporting to support quality outcomes and continuity of care.

* Actively participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, supervision, service development and continuous improvement activities.

* Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.


Criteria you will be required to meet:

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Counselling, and hold peak body membership/registration with AHPRA or AASW.

* Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties, including behavioural, emotional and psychological disorders.

* Ability to provide evidence‑based mental health assessment, therapeutic intervention and crisis response within community and clinical settings.

* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution.

* Hold a current Class C Drivers licence and hold a paid NSW Working With Children Check
