About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our APAC team as a Sr Manager based in our Brisbane office. The Senior Analytics Manager will be tasked with providing management and analysis of all types of business data for use in decision making and efficiency improvement initiatives. The primary focus of the role will be on sales and marketing performance for the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) markets; however, this role will also assist across a range of projects (e.g. Development, Operations, Leasing etc). Presents succinct and compelling insight and recommendations for decision making and strategic planning, using data from multiple sources. This role will be responsible to drive best practice across ANZ, this role specifically will assist the Managing Director and the ANZ Leadership team to create, presentations, reports etc.

Essential Functions:

1. Analyse and provide insights into promotional/campaign/product trial performance and effectiveness, pricing and profit analysis and food and labour cost analysis. Clearly identify trends and summarise for the Leadership team to ensure the information is presented in a clear manner.
2. Continuously track commercial performance throughout the year for the whole business unit, providing insights as to the areas in which the business is on track or specific areas that the business is underperforming. Identify potential risk and calculating the value in order to make suitable planning decisions or highlight areas that could help mitigate the risk.

Using commercial knowledge of the business to help make strategic decisions, ideas, goals and business targets to assist with both the Business Unit and the APAC Region continue to grow

3. Fulfill complex ad hoc requests, leveraging database querying. Prepare for and attend meetings when requested. Provide recommendations using company tools such as RMS. Continuously analyse and evaluate current processes to ensure relevant insights are provided.
4. Proactively find solutions for report automation and process efficiency through Business Intelligence tools. Assist in implementing recommendations as required.
5. Work closely with internal and external customers and stakeholders, including any third parties to gather business requirements and define software functionality, throughout the release lifecycle, from inception to general release to ongoing support. May also work with internal and/or external development teams and vendor partners to deliver project objectives.
6. Leverage analytical software to prepare PowerPoint decks and Excel Spreadsheets on tactical performance, and present findings with the ability to manipulate the content to best suite the audience. Keeping the content both engaging and insightful.
7. Develop dashboards and systems that can provide tools to the whole business including territory teams.
8. Drive business intelligence and consumer insights through analysis and research to help guide the strategic direction for Subway ANZ BU. Effectively communicate his/her point to senior executives and internal stakeholder in a clear and compelling manner and must work collaboratively across the organization to drive an integrated perspective on current business performance, as well as help to guide the direction for future performance.
9. Identify key business challenges; develop insights and recommendations to address them
10. Execute category analysis through primary (POS) and secondary data (e.g. NPD Crest). Synthesize insights along the consumer journey and help develop compelling insights in support of strategic objective
11. Lead qualitative and quantitative analysis of market trends and competitive landscape to highlight improvements and growth opportunities
12. Involved in high level commercially decisions and provide financially scenarios for the business, evaluating the ROI, payback length and NPV. Upholding business acumen

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

13. Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce, Economics and Data Analytics or similar
14. 5-8yrs experience with 2+yrs experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst
15. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
16. Ability to quickly learn internal systems, terminology, specific software alongside external portals and reports
17. Excellent mathematical and financial knowledge
18. Data cultivating extensive datasets together in order to understand relationships and trends
19. Identify commercial deficiencies and risk that could impact the business
20. Build good relationships and work collaboratively with supporting agencies
21. Ability to explain/present complicated/advanced analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences.
22. Extensive knowledge of SQL required, SAS or R preferred. Tableau Software (Fresh Insights)
23. Experience applying statistical techniques such as regression, ANOVA, cluster analysis, factor analysis, time business problems.
24. Understanding of core database marketing knowledge, file manipulation technics and how to access and leverage relational databases.
25. Possess core analytical competencies such as ability to formulate analytical problem/hypothesis; QC data and results and summarize key finding/insights.
26. Ability to explain/present complicated/advanced analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences.
27. Ability to discover hidden insights using advanced multi-variate data mining techniques on un-structured data.
