Job Description for Kitchen Hand
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our team at TGI Fridays Australia. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of a high-volume kitchen environment and be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the resources sector.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's basic food preparation knowledge, experience working in a restaurant, and be able to work effectively as part of a team. They will also be willing and available to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays if required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with food preparation and presentation in a high-volume kitchen environment.
* Demonstrate a good understanding of the operation of commercial kitchen equipment.
* Show knowledge of cookware, utensils, and bake ware used by Chefs.
* Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Requirements:
* At least 1 year's basic food preparation knowledge.
* Experience working in a restaurant or similar environment.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Willingness and availability to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays if required.
Desirable Skills:
* Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or similar role.
* Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
