Responsibilities
* Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs
* Analysing project drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation to identify all cost components
* Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to gather and validate cost information
* Maintaining and updating cost databases and historical project information
* Assisting with the preparation of bids and proposals to ensure their competitiveness and profitability
* Providing support to the project delivery team throughout the construction process
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
* Demonstrated experience in a similar estimating role within the construction industry
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Proficient in the use of estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
