About the role
Chiesi ANZ currently has a vacancy for an experienced Regional Sales Manager within our AIR Business Unit. The primary purpose of this role is to develop a strategic plan in alignment with targets and budgets and to lead, coach and motivate a team of sales people within the NSW North area. The aim is to achieve continuous sales and growth within an expanding portfolio in the highly competitive respiratory market.
The team compromises of both GP Sales Representatives & Hospital Specialist Representatives, both reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
This role requires an ambitious and pro-active person with strong commercial acumen and a genuine interest in developing people. This role requires a strong and effective communicator, as well as somebody that can work cross functionally. In this role you will be a coaching, developing and leading a high performance team, your experience in leadership and motivating a team will be critical.
This role is a full-time permanent position, based in Sydney and reports directly to the National Sales Manager.
Main Responsibilities
* Developing and reviewing a strategic plan for the designated territory aligning to the Chiesi strategy to achieve company goals and targets.
* Analysing sales data for the region to identify opportunities, utilising and pivoting the team resources to ensure targets and KPIs are achieved.
* Understanding competitors in the market and driving initiatives to improve market share.
* Continuing to build the teams business acumen through sales data analysis, territory planning and product training.
* Coach and manage a high performance sales team who's approach aligns with Chiesi's mission, values and culture.
* Coordinating and running weekly huddles with the sales team to discuss initiatives, customer feedback and experiences and YTD sales and elevating any feedback to the required internal stakeholders.
* Consistently execute training plans with GP's and HSR's to ensure they are trusted, credible and capable representatives in the respiratory field and are capable of building strong relationships with HCP's.
* Consistently acting as an innovator in the respiratory field by respectfully challenging way of working and generating new ideas to support the Chiesi strategy.
* Consistently leading and developing the sales team in their technical skillset to ensure their territory management and HCP analysis capability is strong.
* Inspiring the team through communication, celebrating success and supporting initiatives whilst positively impacting the behaviours and collaboration of the team.
* Consistently operating in a way that is mindful of Chiesi core values.
* Embracing the ability to work in a team environment and establishing a trusting, professional and supportive relationship with people at all levels.
* Effectively building and maintaining both internal and external partnerships to support business needs Communicating regularly with other departments to effectively optimise resources and execute strategy.
* Acting in accordance with compliance guidelines.
* Other duties as required.
Experience Required
* Qualification and/or graduate degree in Life sciences, Business, or Medicine.
* Required 3 - 5 years' experience in people leadership and coaching within a pharmaceutical organisation, primary or specialty care.
* Advanced knowledge of Key Account Management and a proven track record in sales success and developing high performance teams.
* Completed and proficient in the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.
* Knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas (Respiratory) and including customer-facing experience, would be advantageous but not essential.
* IT proficiency, including knowledge and expertise with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
* Must be proficient in English (written and verbal)
