Job Overview
We have a new opportunity for an Energy and Resources professional to join our Corporate section in Perth.
Our Corporate section has over 65 members nationally, and is known for its energy, business insight and legal expertise nationally and internationally. We give clients commercially focused legal advice on all aspects of corporate law and regulation affecting public and private companies, private equity firms and management teams. Our expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, commercial contracting, compliance including regulatory, corporate governance and directors' duties, intellectual property, and privacy.
Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in a variety of matters including:
* Mergers and acquisitions;
* Equity capital markets transactions;
* Joint ventures offtake and farm-ins;
Requirements
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
* 2-4 years post-admission experience gained in a corporate law practice;
* Experience in the energy and resources sector including a strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations;
* Corporate law experience including transaction document drafting and assisting with due diligences;
* Excellent analytical problem-solving research and communication skills;
* Outstanding attention to detail;
* A genuine passion for contributing to the growth and success of our corporate practice both in Perth and nationally;
* A team-player who can also work autonomously within a supportive environment.
