CatholicCare Tasmania is the primary social services agency of the Catholic Church across Tasmania. We are looking for an experienced People and Culture Advisor to join our team on a max term contract until 30 June 2026.
What will you do?
Reporting directly to the Manager - P&C, the Senior Advisor – People and Culture will deliver:
Coaching and Training:
* Providing effective and sound employee relations and P&C best practice advice and support to the CatholicCare workforce and leadership team, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards and risk mitigation strategies.
Performance optimisation:
* Developing and championing performance optimisation strategies across CatholicCare.
Supervising Effective Employee Lifecyle Operations
* Achieving operational targets, reporting and administering P&C operational processes as part of a team of P&C professionals.
* Mentoring P&C team members in employee relations and case management.
Workers Compensation and injury management
* Manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims
* Facilitate and coach senior leaders in safe, effective and suitable return to work strategies.

Your expertise:
We are looking for an experienced P&C professional that can successfully demonstrate experience in the areas of employee relations such as complaints management, investigations, legislative advice, workers compensation, coaching and experience in mentoring and supporting a small team. and advice and performance management. To succeed in the role you will need exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to partner with senior and all levels of management. In addition, you will have a passion for all aspects of people and culture work as the role is varied and will support the team across all P&C functions.
