With a strong pipeline of projects across Victoria, ASCOT GROUP is continuing to grow and is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced Delivery team leads or Project Managers ready to step into Delivery Team Lead roles.

What this role looks like
At its core, this role balances two things: your own delivery, and the performance of the wider team.
You'll manage a small number of projects end-to-end, owning planning, cost, programmes and client relationships.
Alongside that, you'll have visibility across a broader portfolio. Not from a distance, but with a real understanding of what's happening on each job. Where things are tracking well, where support is needed, and where risks are starting to emerge.
You'll help set priorities, balance workloads and step in early to remove blockers before they become bigger issues.
This isn't about constant firefighting. It's about creating an environment where delivery feels structured, calm and under control.
The leadership piece
A big part of this role is lifting the capability of the team.
You'll work closely with Project Managers and Supervisors, providing guidance, setting expectations and helping them build confidence in how they run their projects.
That might look like regular check‐ins, supporting decision making, or simply being available when something needs a second set of eyes.
You'll lead by example — setting the standard through how you run your own projects, how you communicate, and how you show up.
About you
You're likely already operating as a Senior Project Manager or Delivery Team Lead, someone who naturally steps into leadership across projects and people.
You're comfortable managing multiple jobs, understand the commercial side of delivery, and know how to keep things moving without overcomplicating them.
You're also someone people trust.
You're practical, solutions‐focused, and calm under pressure. You know when to step in, when to support, and when to challenge.
Most importantly, you lead from within the work not removed from it.
