We are seeking experienced Boilermakers/Welders for a casual assignment at our defence client based in Osborne. The assignment starts ASAP and runs until 31/3/26, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have a defence, heavy industrial or mining background, extensive welding and fabrication experience, including Arc, TIG and Oxy Welding, and a positive, hard-working attitude.
Requirements
Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering - Fabrication Stream preferred
National police clearance issued within 3 months
Construction white card and Confined Space ticket refreshed within 2 years
Minimum 2 years' heavy industrial experience in the fabrication of large complex engineering, shipbuilding and construction projects
Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting structural drawings
Strong attention to detail and focus on safe work practices and quality standards
Australian citizen, with own vehicle and current driver's licence
Sound knowledge of welding processes including MMAW/GTAW (including Plasma/LPG oxy cutting)
Basic computer operating skills
Desirable
Experience in fabrication/plate work and large complex structures
Arc, TIG and Oxy welding experience
Hepatitis A & B vaccinations
