Pet Therapy Volunteer Opportunity
We are seeking animal lovers to visit residents at our care facility and bring companionship to those who need it most. If you have a calm, well-behaved pet, we invite you to join our team of volunteer social visitors.
As a Pet Therapy Volunteer, your role will be to:
* Visit residents at our care facility on a regular basis (weekly or fortnightly) between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday
* Bring your well-socialized pet along for the visit
* Engage in conversation and activities with residents, providing companionship and comfort
* Follow our guidelines for responsible pet ownership and ensure your pet is up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment
You'll see the positive impact your visits can have on the lives of our residents, helping to improve their quality of life and reduce feelings of loneliness.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy spending time with animals and people alike. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others while developing new skills and connections.
Our care facility provides a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and residents. We ask that you adhere to our guidelines for visiting, including keeping your pet on a lead at all times and ensuring they are clean and well-groomed.

Requirements:
* 18 years or older
* National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by us
* Able to commit to regular visits (weekly or fortnightly) between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday
* Have a calm, well-behaved pet that is comfortable in a care environment
* Familiarity with basic pet care and handling
