We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Servery Staff to join our team at Jean Ross House in South Nowra. As a key member of our kitchen and servery team, you will play a vital role in providing nourishing meals that contribute to the health and well-being of our residents.

* The successful candidate will have previous experience in food service, hospitality, or aged care (preferred but not essential).
* A Manual Handling Certificate is also preferred but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail and cleanliness are essential skills for this role.
* A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life is crucial.
* NDIS Workers Check Clearance or willingness to obtain is required.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective teamwork.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently is expected.
* Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence is paramount.
* Alignment with our Christian ethos and values is essential.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is also desirable.

Responsibilities

* Assist in the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals to residents.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food service spaces.
* Assist in meal setup, including setting tables and ensuring all utensils and crockery are clean.
* Deliver food and beverages to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to their rooms.
* Ensure dietary requirements and preferences are met for each resident.
* Collaborate with the broader team to provide holistic support to residents.
* Collect, clean, and store dishes and utensils after meals.
* Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
* Follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards always.
