An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced **Education Support Officer** to join our **Radiation Oncology Department.**

In 2012, the Faculty of Radiation Oncology, Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) introduced a networked training model across all accredited Radiation Oncology training sites in Australia and Recent Zealand. A Training Network is a formalized system of training delivery, where by:

- ** Training sites are linked for the purpose of delivering the Faculty of Radiation Oncology training program curriculum;**:

- ** Trainees rotate through to multiple radiation oncology facilities that offer different settings, tumour sites, senior staff and patient groups;**:

- ** Trainees gain access to all experiences required to fulfil the curriculum requirements.**

**Details of position/position requirements**

The Education Support Officer is required to provide a high level of administrative and clerical support to the Training Network Director in relation to the operation of the Training Network, together with managing the administrative needs of the Network.

One of the main aims of the Victorian/Tasmanian Network is to ensure that all trainees progress satisfactorily through the training curriculum and gain a broad range of experience in all aspects of radiation oncology. Trainees will require rotations to different hospitals in order to gain this exposure. Trainees also attend a formal Network Education Program in addition to external conferences and workshops.

This degree of micro-management requires a great deal of effort, forward planning, roster management and negotiation. The position also includes the overall functioning of the Network from an operational as well as financial aspect.

**To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include**:
Provide a full range of administrative and clerical support services to the TND in relation to the operation of the Network
- Undertake significant projects and tasks in relation to College matters as directed by the TND
- Ensure awareness of relevant College training policies and procedures, and relevant jurisdictional policy directives
- Draft financial and non-financial reports as required
- Coordinate and facilitate the Network training program across multiple sites, by liaising with the TND, DoTs, clinical supervisors, trainees, sponsors, Health Service staff and RANZCR
- Assist with, and coordinate the completion of accreditation-related documentation by the TND and DoTs
- Assist with the organisation of meetings, workshops, seminars, forums and other Network training events. This will include arranging attendance of participants, venue, transport, travel and catering (where appropriate) and drafting and distributing relevant documents.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Network Governance Committee, including the preparation and distribution of agendas, progress reports, updates, meeting papers, venue booking and other secretariat functions as required
- Set up, maintain and use spreadsheets and/or databases to facilitate Network operations, in particular as relevant to tracking trainee rotations and progress in line with the training program curriculum requirements
- Negotiate and coordinate trainee rotations across the Network, ensuring trainees experience all required rotations prior to their exit exams
