Our client is a small Public Accounting firm centrally based on the Gold Coast. Their highly qualified team consists of Accountants and Bookkeepers with both public practice and commercial experience.
Their personalised services that are tailored to their client's needs supports small business owners to run more efficiently.Their services include business advice and taxation services. bookkeeping and SMSF administration.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to a senior team member retiring our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and experienced team. In this interesting role you will be responsible for a portfolio of small business services clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the Principal with servicing SME clients – established and new businesses
• Create and review business plans for start-ups and growth
• Review and prepare management accounts
• Provide current financial reporting and advice throughout the year
• Provide Tax and BAS services for companies, trusts and individuals
• Provide SMSF full compliance and administrative services
• Ensure client tax obligations are met
• Analyse client's performance for year-end tax planning
• Oversee bookkeeper and liaise with administration team
EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• years' experience in business services & tax within a Chartered or Public accounting firm
• University degree in accounting, finance, commerce or related fields
• CA/CPA qualification or in the process of attaining and / or relevant CA or CPA practice experience
• Technology savvy - experienced with accounting software packages e.g., MYOB AE, XERO and BGL is highly regarded
