Communications and Stakeholder Advisor - Yan Yean Upgrade
McConnell Dowell are currently seeking a Communications and Stakeholder Advisor to support the delivery of a major VIC roads upgrade at Yan Yean.
This role will see you working closely with project teams and the local community to ensure clear, consistent and proactive engagement throughout the lifecycle of the works.
As the Communications and Engagement Advisor, you will coordinate day-to-day engagement with affected communities and stakeholders, ensuring all communications are managed professionally and aligned to project objectives.
Key responsibilities
* Proactively managing relationships with stakeholders and affected community members regarding project progress and upcoming works
* Recording all stakeholder interactions within Consultation Manager and contributing to project reporting requirements
* Preparing high-quality communication materials across online, print and CALD formats
* Delivering proactive stakeholder engagement, including trader and community engagement activities
* Supporting the development and implementation of Communications Action Plans across the project lifecycle
* Managing enquiries and complaints, ensuring timely responses and close out in line with project protocols
* Working closely with project teams to ensure messaging is clear, accurate and aligned with delivery activities
* Supporting the reputation of the project through consistent and professional communication
About You
* Experience in a communications or stakeholder engagement role within infrastructure, construction or government projects
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
* Experience managing community and stakeholder relationships in a project environment
* Familiarity with consultation databases such as Consultation Manager (or similar systems)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes and protocols
* A proactive and professional approach with strong interpersonal skills
