The Retail Operations team have a great opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join their team. Interact with a diverse group of IGA retailers across a specified territory with some regional and remote travel required. Drive store standards, develop strategies, enhance and support customer service and safety standards.
This role will partner with our Retailers based in Lithgow to Condobolin/Grenfell and as far west as Bourke and Cobar. This role will require you to be based out in Bathurst or Dubbo.
What you'll do:
Build and develop working relationships with your retailers and become their conduit between the retailer and the Metcash state office
Be able to influence retailers to support them in creating profitable and sustainable businesses
Drive operational excellence and ensure store standards as well as pricing and promotional compliance is met
Ensure product, pricing, ranging and service levels are met
Drive and review sales plans and support promotional activities or events with your retailer
What you'll bring:
Must have retail management experience at either store or multi-site level within the Food Retail industry
Strong communication and relationship skills
Solid commercial and business acumen
Ability to work with a team of like-minded legends
Must be able to complete physical tasks in stores when required to support the retailer
The ability to hold retailers to account and have challenging conversations where necessary to protect the IGA banner
